DESIGN STAFF I / ARCHITECT I

The full-time Architectural Design Staff I position is a key component within the overall design team. The right candidate will be self-directed, motivated, and competent in a variety of roles including out-of-the-box creative thinking, client interfacing, construction documentation, and construction administration.

 

The position will be responsible for engaging with teams in delivering services to creatively solve problems. Motivated team members should have excellent design and communication skills, proficiency in ArchiCAD or Revit, ability to multi-task, pay attention to detail, possess a high level of professionalism, and be integral team players with a “can do” attitude.

 

GLA’s award-winning architectural team primarily works with residential developers. We are well known for private development, affordable housing developments, and student housing projects. Our experience spans many states from Arizona to Florida, and all the way up the east coast and into New York. We are always open to hearing about the next great opportunity. Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

  • Have a positive attitude with a sense of humor

  • Excellent time management, written, and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent organizational skills, and the ability to follow-through

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Thorough understanding and preparation of design projects through all phases of development

  • Proficiency in ArchiCAD or similar BIM software

  • 1-4 years of design experience and working towards architectural licensure is preferred, experience in the Multifamily realm is a plus

  • Professional architecture degree from an accredited college or university
